Sevier Lake
![]() |
Sevier Lake does not exist. Rumor was, there used to be a broad mudhole in the desert where the Sevier River sank into the earth. In spring, the area around the mudhole would flood wide enough to be called a lake. Somebody put it on the map. And since then, map makers have been copying, just like you did on your 10th grade English research paper. Picture: Not Sevier Lake. Actually, it's a fun mountain bike
trail near St. George, called the Green
Valley Trail. |
We've never seen a lake. Nobody we've talked to has seen a lake. If you see anything blue on satelite photos of the area, it must be a big blue tarp covering President Reagan's MX missiles.
